Travel Trends 2022
Due to the impact, Covid19 has had on the travel industry, travel trends have evolved from a contact-free manner to disinfection. With easily accessible and relaxed travel and dining, the search for holistic wellness solutions has rapidly increased. According to a survey from OAG, 70% of American travellers believed that vaccine passports should be made mandatory for international travel. Many travellers said they feel safer when safety precautions are taken, especially in accommodation, dining, and retail.
Here are a few travel trends for 2022 that we should be expecting.
Get ready to spree.
Travellers are ready to compensate for delayed and cancelled trips by spending lavishly on their upcoming travel venture. In America, almost 40% say they are looking for ways to treat themselves and splurge money on their next trip in an extravagant way. Travellers between the age of 20 and 40 are more than happy to pay a fortune for their next trip.
Finding new and unique culture
Expedia’s report found that tourists are looking to make their vacation culturist, be it through finding a destination or culture entirely different from their own (19%) or immersing in a place where they could feel a sense of contentment and mental peace (36%). Some travellers are even planning to embark on a more extended trip (27%) to fulfil their dream and fully explore what their dream place offers. More than ever, travelling to far-flung destinations will be at its peak in 2022.
Climate-friendly travel
Travellers have started choosing climate-friendly options, including travelling to eco-friendly destinations, nearby destinations, and using public transport. Many people on trips wish to relax, have fun and find a spiritual connection with their inner self, which is possible without travelling a great distance. In 2022, it is more likely that travellers will opt for a bike ride or be willing to try hiking. Given that climate change is a real problem and rapidly growing, travellers are concerned about the safety of this planet and considering adopting more climate-friendly travel options.
The growing trend of business travel
The Covid19 outbreak changed the dynamics of travel, especially business travel. Leisure travel has been resumed, but businesses are still considering travel plans. A survey conducted among Global Business Travel Association members revealed that 68% of organizations are looking to continue business travel soon. “Business travellers are dying to travel,” says Robert Isom, President of American Airlines. Furthermore, American Airlines has commented on business travel by saying, “they are hoping that business travel will go line by line with leisure travel next year”.
Combining education with travel
Wander lustre are getting ready to travel faraway places without putting their education at stake. The good news is that in 2022 travelling and studying at the same time will be possible, which rejoices, especially for students who feel like they need to travel to dream destinations.
Nowadays, Traveling is all about mixing education and vacations, so, in a short period, both these desires can be fulfilled. At the same time, parents work online and attend meetings, and their children can study and learn playfully. With Covid19 restrictions easing, tourists are starting to pack their luggage to embark on new adventures.
